Vertical surface surveys are most commonly used by the mining sector in open-pit operations. One of the many services we provide to mining and aggregates companies, aerial inspections (of cliff faces and other vertical surfaces) enhance workplace safety.

Timbercraft offers other types of inspection services for monitoring compliance and safety, however vertical surface surveys have a specific safety application. Following blasting at a mine site, rocks and boulders can sometimes remain in precarious positions on the rock face, creating dangerous conditions for any workers who might be underneath.

A drone-based vertical surface inspection allows us a safe method of looking for stray blast debris that might cause a workplace hazard.

We are licensed through Transport Canada in the safe operation of drones over people.

Vertical surface surveys are used to check for debris after blasting.
